Notes

In order for the plugin to display properly, please note the following:

  • The file= attribute is REQUIRED.
  • The value of file= should be a fully qualified URL (http://…), not a relative path.
  • While the plugin works when installed on localhost, behind a firewall, on an intranet, or in password-protected directories, the document you’re embedding must be publicly available on the internet (not access-restricted). This is the only way Google will be able to fetch the file for conversion and display in the viewer.
  • The file should end with the extension of one of the supported file types. Note: This excludes documents saved and shared publicly on Google Docs itself in most cases. Please save your file in a native supported format somewhere on the internet (i.e., upload it to your WordPress installation).
  • There is no integration with Google Docs service itself. This plug-in only utilizes the viewer.
  • Use of this plug-in implies your agreement with Google’s published Terms of Service.
